CryptoEntropy Explorer
Interactive tool EB-indexA small interactive dashboard for experimenting with the Entropy Balance index introduced in the DLT '25 paper. Select cryptoassets, choose one of the paper attribute sets or build a custom set, switch attributes on or off, change utility weights, and see how the EB-index changes over time.

Interactive EB-index playground
The chart is recalculated in the browser from monthly normalized attribute values. The custom weighted mode follows the weighted entropy idea: selected attributes are converted into a probability distribution, then user-defined utility weights control how much each attribute contributes to the final score.
1. Choose a preset or custom set
Custom set builder
Start from a paper preset, select all available attributes, or start empty and build your own analytical question.
2. Toggle cryptoassets
3. Select attributes and utility weights
For paper presets, you can still remove attributes or change weights. In custom mode, this becomes your own EB-index attribute set.
Current analytical question
This panel translates the selected assets, attributes, and weights into a readable EB-index question.

Live EB-index lineplot
Scores are normalized between 0 and 1. Higher values mean that the selected economic qualities are more balanced under the chosen utility assumptions.

How to read the tool
Not a price ranking
The EB-index does not say which asset is a better investment. It measures balance across the selected economic qualities.
Weights are assumptions
Changing weights changes the analytical question. This is the point of the framework: the definition of efficiency is explicit.
Custom sets are experiments
A custom set lets users test their own notion of economic balance while keeping the attribute choices visible.
Derived data only
The dashboard uses normalized and entropy-derived datasets. Raw Coin Metrics data are not redistributed here.
Source note: underlying on-chain and market metrics are derived from Coin Metrics and processed into normalized/entropy-based research datasets for the DLT '25 study. Raw Coin Metrics data are not redistributed. This page is an exploratory research prototype that could be extended to a broader metric catalogue with direct data-provider integration. It is not investment advice.
